Magnify that Calling

Devon and I are in charge of the ward program each week at church. We print off 60 copies and stand at the doors at church and hand them out. It is a very detailed program and includes a ward spotlight. We have to spotlight a new couple each week and share information about them. Since we received this calling we have had a hard time getting people to respond to our requests to be in the ward spotlight. For every 8 requests we email out, we are lucky to receive one response. Well, yesterday we woke up and started making the program. We checked the ward email to see if anyone had responded, and nope, not a single one. I was gosh darn sick of people not responding and so I decided that it was time for us to just start creating fake couples in the ward.
"That'll teach em." Devon said. So together he and I created a new couple to be spotlighted in the ward program.

We were both a little hesitant about how the bishop would respond, because he takes the program very serious. Well, I almost lost it in Sacrament Meeting when our Bishop stood up (after he had already made all of the announcements) and asked every one to open their ward programs and take notice of the new couple in the ward. "Make sure you find them today and say hi" he said, very seriously.
That's when I snorted... kinda loud.

Yeah, our Bishop knew it was a joke. He's just a really cool cat.
