We could all use a sling

I'm not a mom... yet. But from the mom's I know I have seen and heard great things about baby slings. They appear to be a great way to take baby on the go. Well... this Labor Day we were up the canyon and I spotted the most adorable and disturbing baby sling I have ever seen. I had to pretend to be taking a picture of Devon so that I could snap the following photo. A trick I learned from my friend Amanda.

YAY! It's a puppy sling!!! Yep. It's not just for babies.

I'm not really a pet lover, but wow, isn't this sling amazing. You can take puppy with you everywhere. No more annoying leashes... or having to pick up puppy's poo poo. I bet the puppy sling comes with puppy diapers.

I couldn't help it, but the rest of the trip in the canyon I had to snap these pictures too. I just imagined all of these people carrying their dog... or maybe even their cat.

I imagine this lady is holding a pair of young lion cubs.
Wow, the possibilities are endless!

Everyone else is doin it

After a few months of the most lovely break. Devon is going back to school. He's a Junior now (oh, they grow so fast) at BYU and majoring in Broadcast Journalism. He says when he grows up he wants to be a dinosaur. Aren't they so cute. I just wish they would stay this way forever.

I'm now the official sugar mama, working full time. I just got a new job as the program manager for this company. I love the company and really am excited about the new job.

P.S. the only thing missing from this picture is Devon's Scooby Doo Lunch box. It was lost, and he was devastated. Then he found it today next to his bike out on the bike rack. A Tender Mercy.

all mine

Sometimes i complain that Devon doesn't eat food.
But then he brings home things like this from work that customers give him.

And I feel really glad that he doesn't eat food, that i get the coupon all to myself and that I don't have to share with him.

Dream Machines

Last night was Devon's turn to pray before we went to bed. In his prayer he asked that we would both have good dreams. It kinda made me chuckle because it's not something I've ever heard him pray for. And I guess it's not something I've really had to pray for, well... not since I was a scared little 6 year old.

Well, when i woke up this morning I started telling Devon about my dream. And He said, "no, way! I had that same dream!" This isn't the first time this has happened to us. Had the same dream that is.

Last night we both dreamed that we were recruited onto the REAL Salt Lake soccer team, and we were awesome players. Devon even scored 2 goals in one game in his dream. In my dream I was just the amazing female that was so good they bent the rules to let me on the team.

I'm sure it had something to do with the intense game we went to last night. (We won, 1-0)
And this dramatic promo they played at the game.

But mostly, I think the Lord just knows us really well, and He knew the best possible dream that Devon and I could have shared.

And if that's not the Lord himself, smiling down on our team, I don't know what is.

We all fall down

I haven't had much time to blog lately. I've been spending so much time editing this program on WWII veterans for work. I'm hoping to have some more time again soon. But until then, I thought I would post this video that Devon made the other night at my parent's house. This is my nephew, Bridger.

I love Devon's cackle at the end.
